ParkerStores Sign Junior Outlaw Star
Cleveland, OH (September 9, 2004)-Parker Hannifin and the worldwide ParkerStores are
pleased to announce the addition of Kyle Larson and MAJ1K Motorsports to the ParkerStore
Racing family. Larson joins World of Outlaws star Donny Schatz and ASCA standout Bob
Ream, Jr. in the open wheel ranks.
Larson is a 12 year old hot shoe that competes 50 weeks per year on regional
tracks in the Northern California area, as well as on the QRC All Stars Tour. He is
currently leading the points race in the 125cc class on what is billed as the
Worlds Largest Outlaw Sprint Kart Tour. MAJ1K Motorsports also competes on the
indoor circuit over the winter months.
You do not find someone that stands out like this very often, said John Strand
with ParkerStore Racing. Watching this kid totally blew me away. He was
so fast and so smooth it was unbelievable. When I went over to talk to the
team, I was expecting an 18 year old to get out of the kart. I was in shock when a
four foot tall kid with a huge smile climbed out. This kid has what it takes to make
it to the upper levels in motorsports
The young outlaw drew attention to himself while competing at the English Creek Speedway
near Knoxville, IA. The Larson family was in the Knoxville area for the 2004
Knoxville Nationals as well as to support the new English Creek Speedway that is a few
miles south of the famed half mile. The track owners have plans to some day hold the
Outlaw Sprint Kart Nationals in conjunction with the Knoxville Nationals.

English Creek Speedway

NORCAL DRIVERS GOING TO KNOXVILLE
- JJ Yeley Guest Racing
Three of the top young drivers on the Northern California Outlaw kart scene will be
heading to Knoxville, Iowa in August to view the Knoxville Nationals Sprint Car races and
to also compete at the brand new English Creek Speedway (10 miles out of Knoxville).
Tyler Reddick, Mason Moore and Kyle Larson are leaving right after the QRC Tour race at
Cycleland August 7th so that they will be ready for the first day of racing at English
Creek Speedway on Wednesday August 11th. Races will also be held Thursday and Friday, each
during the daytime.
T ylers Dad, Clarence, will make the tow to Iowa and deliver all 3
competitors karts. There will be a total of 5 karts inside as Tyler will race his
box stock in that division and race his 4-stroke 250cc with the 2-stroke 250ccs that
serve as their equivalent to our 125cc class. Kyle and Mason will be taking their open
karts and will be competing in the top division as there is no intermediate division back
there. They are very excited about the opportunity to race against NASCAR Busch and Nextel
Cup driver J.J. Yeley, who will be wheeling his brand new QRC kart at the August 11th
race. Also, Clarence Reddick is taking his open kart and may put a celebrity guest driver
in it.
English Creek Speedway has gone from concept to reality in the last few months and is a
track equivalent to Cycleland Speedway in size and shape with a heavy black gumbo clay
surface. It has come to life through the efforts of Dan Ebright and the Ambers family. The
former residents of Orland (drivers Cody and Alan Ambers) moved to Knoxville last fall and
opened a QRC affiliated store called MLC Motorsports. They began searching for a suitable
place for a racetrack so that the outlaw kart phenomenon could expand to the Sprint Car
Capital of the world. The result should become one of the top outlaw kart tracks in the
country and maybe someday this event will evolve into the Outlaw Kart Nationals.
