Kyle's Speech
First, I want to say thank you to Dave and Debbie Vertullo for giving me this
opportunity. When this all started with a test at Marysville back in February, I
didnt even know Dave. Dave had heard about me from Powerfeed and others and wanted
to see what I could do in a sprint car.
I know my first race didnt go very well and I would like to forget it. Powerfeed
told me, Im not the only one who had a bad first night. He drove into the first turn
wall at Calistoga on his first lap and Paul McMahan ran into the water truck at Chico. So
I dont feel so bad now.
I owe a very big thank you to the Padjen family for allowing me to compete in the Civil
War Series, Golden State Series, and at their tracks. Im sure they were pretty
nervous about what might happen at the beginning, but I hope I have earned their respect,
along with my fellow drivers.
The Civil War is one of the toughest series to compete in and getting my first win at a
Civil War race was awesome. It will always be memorable for me because, like in the outlaw
karts for so many years, I had to beat my buddy Mason Moore for the win.
I would like to thank my sponsors CRV Racing Products, ParkerStore, Starr Real Estate and
Property Management, Safety Solutions LFT Technologies, Heritage Drywall, A.R.T.
Speed Equipment, D & J Towing, RPM Indoor Kart Racing and Conference Center, Platinum
Powdercoating, JW Web Design, Wions Body Shop, SWEPCO Lubricants, and Sierra Tire
and Wheel for their support.
To the guys that kept me out there week after week, my crew- Dave, CJ, Barkley, Andy &
AJ Kovacs, Deputy Dave and my dad thank you very much for believing in me and
dedicating yourselves to the 83v sprint car.
Thanks goes out to Steve La Mothe, Ed Palmer, and the other photographers who have been
very giving of their photos. My mom and I really appreciate the great photos they provided
which added that special touch to my website.
Finally, I'd like to thank everyone that has been associated with our team through the
years, beginning with my Outlaw Kart days, who have helped me to get to this level. There
are too many to name individually, but they know who they are.
Thank you and see you next year.
