Runnerup Finish For Larson At
Tulsa Shootout

Tulsa, Oklahoma December 29 & 30, 2007. In what was possibly his last outlaw
kart race Kyle Larson came up one place short of a hoped for winning exit at the 23rd
Annual Tulsa Shootout. He settled for second behind Oldfield, Missouri driver Rod Baird in
a crowd pleasing battle in front of an estimated 10,000 onlookers, who were seeing the
outlaw karts participate in the Shootout for the first time... ParkerStore Article

Kyle Larson Set To Run Chili Bowl and Tulsa Shootout

Elk Grove, California, December 26, 2007. As the song says, 15 year old California sprint
car driver Kyle Larson will be Living on Tulsa Time for two of the next three
weeks. Larson is ready to embark on two separate trips to the Oklahoma wintertime hotspot
and compete on the legendary Tulsa Expo Center racetrack. The driver, recently nominated
for the national Rookie of the Year in both the 410 and 360 divisions by the National
Sprint Car Hall of Fame, is stepping down a bit in the size of the race cars, but will be
on a very big stage nevertheless...

Promising Start Ends On Sour Note For Larson At Trophy Cup

Tulare, CA November 16 & 17, 2007. The Trophy Cup for 360
sprint cars is known for having the largest total purse in 360 sprint car racing which
attracts the best driving talent in California, along with several of the top World of
Outlaws such as Joey Saldana, Jason Meyers, Jason Solwold, Paul McMahan, Randy Hannagan,
Shane Stewart, and Tim Kaeding. For 15 year old Kyle Larson, sitting 18th in points after
the first night of a two night affair that included 82 cars, the chance to be in
Saturdays finale was well within his grasp. While only needing to maintain his
starting position in his heat race to secure a slot in the star studded feature, things
quickly went south as the pole starting car spun, collecting Larson and sending him to the
B-main. At the start his own first lap spin in turn three ended any hope of making the
cut, as time constraints shortened the race to seven laps...

Larsons Exciting Run Ends Early In Cotton Classic 410 Go
Also Places 10th In 360 Feature

Hanford, CA, November 10, 2007 Somewhat like the days when it was
common for him to race in two and sometimes three divisions at an outlaw kart event, Kyle
Larson got a rare opportunity to strap into two different race cars as the Kings
Speedway Cotton Classic closed out the California winged 410 sprint car racing season,
while also holding the penultimate show for the 360 sprinters. After racing to 10th in the
360 feature Larson provided much of the action in the 410 main as he battled forward from
the back half of the star studded field to sixth, before hooking the king sized hole in
turn one, nearly flipping his mount, recovering to jump the infield berm, and then coming
to a stop just short of a group of photographers. Apparently due to the race already being
a half hour past curfew, the expected yellow flag never came as Larson watched the last
five laps from the inside of the track...

B-Main Finishes For Larson In Manzy and Perris World of Outlaws

Phoenix, Arizona and Perris, California October 19
& 20, 2007. Kyle Larson and the Dave and Debbie Vertullo racing team headed out on the

with the World of Outlaws at two of the highest profile tracks in America, Manzanita
Speedway and Perris Auto Speedway. Even though the 15 year old from Elk Grove, California

Larson Musters Seventh In B-Main In World of Outlaws Tulare Round
Tulare, CA October 13, 2007. As the sprint car racing season winds down on the west coast every year it
seems the competition level goes up as most of the high dollar events of the season are
held. Such was the case Saturday as the World of Outlaws returned again to the western
half of the country, where the traveling circus stopped at Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway. For
Kyle Larson, the opportunity to compete with the best sprint car drivers in the world was
another opportunity to gauge the 15 year old drivers progress in his rookie season
of racing the 850 HP machines. Although he missed making it to the feature event, he held
his own against a talent laden field of 42 drivers, as he finished seventh in the B-main
event... ParkerStore Article Oct. 13th

Chico, CA October 4, 5, 6, 2007. Facing the most formidable 360 sprint car
competition yet in his first year o f

together a steady performance over the course of the three day Pacific Sprint Fall

Larsons point total placed him ninth of the 91 cars that attempted to make it into

click on image for larger version
Placerville, CA. September 29, 2007. Way back in March ParkerStore driver Kyle Larson
raced a sprint car for the first time as Placerville Speedway held the season opener of
the ultra competitive California 360 Sprint Car Civil War Series. Things could not have
gone much worse as the then 14 year old was involved in two grinding incidents, the second
of which required a front clip to be fashioned in place before the youngster could compete
again. As the points were tallied Larson sat 37th in the standings with a steep learning
curve ahead. Fast forward to last Saturday night at the same Placerville Speedway, where
Larson would turn a 12th place starting position in the feature race into a sixth place
finish at the checkered flag, which solidified his hold on seventh in the final point
standings. The dramatic turnaround to the Civil War season was highlighted by Larson
becoming the youngest ever winner in California sprint car competition when he won the
previous Civil War race at Placerville, just four days after his 15th birthday, on August
4th. He also scored three heat race wins over the course of the season... ParkerStore Article Sept. 29th

Part Failure Hampers ParkerStore Driver Larsons Effort
In Petaluma Civil War Go
Petaluma, CA September 15, 2007. As the feature event
of round number 13 of the Hoosier Tires California 360 Sprint Car Civil War Series at
Petaluma Speedway was underway Saturday night it appeared that Kyle Larson was well on his
way to his third top five finish in the last four series races. Unfortunately, while
running in fourth place Larsons ParkerStore/CRV Racing Products/Eagle Kistler Dave
and Debbie Vertullo owned machine experienced an unusual part failure in his left front
axle hub. After examining everything, said the Elk Grove, California driver,
it looks like the hub nut must have cracked and been forced off the threads. The
track was real fast and tacky and pretty choppy out there tonight. There was a lot of
forces on everybodys car out there, but this was only the second race on a brand new
axle. ... ParkerStore Article Sept. 15th

Also Places Fifth in Pacific Sprint Invitational

Chico, California September 5-8. From the time he first strapped into a race car at the
age of seven, the goal for Kyle Larson was to race in the Gold Cup Race of Champions with
the World of Outlaws drivers. For 15 year old Larson, that reality was achieved this past
week, as he became what is thought to be the youngest driver ever in World of Outlaw
competition. Although he did not make it to Saturday nights 40 lap feature event, he
did start the C-main and got as close as one place away from a transfer spot into the
B-main, before a slip off the backstretch edge ended his hopes of racing his way further
into the talent laden B feature... ParkerStore

September 5-9, 2007- Positivity - By Bobby Gerould - ...Some
quick Chico tidbits from the Thursday night portion of the Gold Cup Race of Champions. (I
won't be updating further until after the Saturday night final.) ...Jon Allard was
impressive in his dominating win on a low groove, one lane racetrack. It was Allard's 31st
career win at Silver Dollar Speedway. ...Sammy Swindell was equally as impressive in the
Fauver #64. Sammy was aggressive on the bottom and he muscled his way to a runner-up
finish in his first action since April at Eldora (I believe). According to our spies,
Swindell hot-lapped on Wednesday night during the 360 Civil War race. ...I had my first chance to see Kyle Larson in a 410 sprint car live.
I'll stick with my prediction that the kid is a hero / star very soon. At age 15 - he
rolls the corners at Chico better than 75% of the guys out there. His car was too tight in
his heat race from where I was sitting yet he transferred to the preliminary feature with
no problem. For more Hammerdown go to: www.hammerdownusa.com

Grinding Crash Halts ParkerStore Driver Kyle Larson At Silver Dollar

Chico, California August 24, 2007. A week after winning his second 360 sprint car main
event, Kyle Larson returned to Silver Dollar Speedways Friday night point series to
try for his initial win in the 410 division. Such was not the case, through, as Larson
experienced the hardest crash of his rookie campaign. Waging a race long battle with
Robbie Whitchurch for the fourth and final transfer spot in the B-main event, the 15 year
old from Elk Grove, California made a last ditch effort to outrace Whitchurch to the
checkered flag using the top side of turn four. Larson nearly completed the pass but could
not avoid contact with the front stretch concrete wall. After leaving tire scuff marks
before the finish line Larsons right front impacted the opening for the track pass
through gate below the flag stand, resulting in a gyrating twist and tumble. Larson
emerged from his car unscathed but the same could not be said for his Dave and Debbie
Vertullo ParkerStore/CRV Racing Products/Eagle Kistler mount as it sustained significant
damage.

However, with the very rough track conditions as they were at Marysville Raceway Park,
anything was possible as to where cars might be headed while on the gas. Such was the case
for the 14 year old driver from Elk Grove, California as he became the victim of contact
