Eighth in Jacob Memorial
December 16, 2006 -Red Bluff, CA The Les Schwab Tire Stores Red B luff Winter Indoor
Series held their first annual Gary Jacob Memorial Race last Saturday and ParkerStore
driver Kyle Larson had high hopes to win the event. As a friend of the legendary
motorsports journalist who passed away last summer, Larson would have liked to add the
500cc Open Intermediate trophy to his collection but an eighth place finish was all he
could muster on the one lane bullring. ParkerStore Article

Rough Night For ParkerStore Team At Red Bluff
December 2, 2006 - Red Bluff, CA Theres an old sports
adage that says, You cant win for losing. Well, at the Les Schwab Tires
Red Bluff Winter Indoor Series inside the Pauline Davis Pavilion last Saturday,
ParkerStore Sprint Kart driver Kyle Larson experienced the feeling first hand as he missed
the A-main event for only the sixth time in his career, which includes over 500 races.
Racing in the 500cc Open Intermediate Division, Larson put himself in position several
times during the evenings activities to be in the feature race only to have
circumstances thwart the attempts. ParkerStore Article

Congratulations the other champions, Tyler Seavey, James Eden, Keith Bloom, Mason Moore,

Robert Carrel from QRC, thank you for providing me with equipment that is capable of
winning championships.
Thank you, Lowell, for preparing an awesome track each week for us to race on. The
officials, thank you for keeping the show moving along. The scorers up in the booth, thank
you also. And Sally, you are my favorite announcer because I always feel luckier when you
are at the races. You guys put on an awesome show every week.
A special thanks to Sean Sheppard, my crew chief. Thank you for believing in me and for
being my friend. Im glad you are part of our team.
My dad, mom and sister, thank you for being there and helping me pursue my dreams. Now
lets get me to Indiana!
And I just have to say this, at the beginning of the season my dad wasnt real sure
about me running the Open division, but I wanted to. He said the competition was going to
be tough and I would struggle at times and I would probably average $10 a night in
winnings. So what I have decided to do is, after I get my envelope, I'm going to pull out
$10 and give it to my dad and keep the rest for myself.
Thank you.
CONGRATULATIONS ParkerStore/QRC Outlaw Sprint Kart Driver Kyle Larson On

ParkerStore Driver Claims Tenth Championship
Larson also sets all time track qualifying record
September 30, 2006 - Chico, CA Holding a slim point lead with the 500cc Open
Division championship on the line, playing it conservative would have been the logical
strategy for ParkerStore Outlaw Sprint Kart driver Kyle Larson to take in the final
feature event of the Cycleland Speedway point season. But not playing it safe only added
to the amazing finish to the QRC Cup Perpetual Trophy race and championship point season,
both taken with a flourish at the end. To add to his tenth sprint kart championship in a
seven year career, which should also include the Rookie of the Year award at next weeks
banquet, Larson also set the all time Cycleland Speedway track record, with a new
qualifying standard of 10.156 on the lightning fast track. The championship is
Larsons fifth in his two year association with ParkerStore.

Gold Cup Race of Champions
Silver Dollar Speedway - Sept. 7, 8, 9, 2006

Donny Schatz -Thurday night Preliminary Heat race
September 9th - Hats off to ParkerStore World of Outlaw driver Donny Schatz,
who came back Saturday night to compete in the 53rd Annual Gold Cup Race of Champions.
Schatz, with first degree burns on his cheeks and neck area that resulted from a flip and
fire during Thursdays preliminary heat race, started in the D Main. He transferred
to the C-Main, then just missed the transfer spot to the B-main. Schatz decided to take a
provisional, started 25th in the A-Main event, and finished a very respectable 8th. Schatz
had the crowd behind him cheering his every move throughout the night.
After the races we went t o visit ParkerStore teammate
Schatz. The first degree burns on his cheeks and neck showed his amazing ability to
withstand the pain he must have endured to put his helmet on and race all night long. We,
and all fans in attendance, appreciate his dedication to the sport of sprint car racing.
Donny is a true racer. Good luck Donny and we wish for a speedy burn recovery.
Gold Cup-September 7, 2006 - ParkerStore Driver Donny Schatz and Andy
Forsburg were racing for the final transfer spot, into the feature event, off of turn two,
when their cars touched and Schatz's #15 smacked the concrete wall. The contact compressed
the fuel cell (tail tank) and it immediately ignited as Schatz was flipping. The car
landed upright in a huge ball of flame with the ParkerStore Knoxville Nationals winner
scrambling out of the car and into a pool of blazing methanol. Fire crews and other
drivers watching from the pits came to Schatz's rescue - dousing the flames with fire
extinguishers. The frightening event earned Schatz a trip to a local Chico hospital. It
was announced at the track that Schatz was treated for minor burns and released.

Yes, that is what I said, masking tape. When Kyle's dad was young he raced his model
cars on the floor and would repair them with masking tape. After a while, he
decided to make super modifieds with the masking tape by rolling, cutting, taping and
painting them. They are all masking tape with balsa wood for the tires and wire for
the bumpers, nerf bars, etc. He sold a few to several drivers and car owners, and
wonder if they are still around.

March 7, 2006 - Here is a little bit of information about
Kyle's buddy, Justyn Cox's dad, who also races. He drives the Nostalgia Top
Fuel Dragster - Cheetah III. The name of the car, Cheetah III, is derived from past
history. During the late 1960s there was a two car top fuel team in Sacramento, California
that went by the names of the Cheetah I and Cheetah II. The late Gary Ormsby drove the
Cheetah I, and John Cox drove the Cheetah II. In 2002, when Cox decided to build a new top
fuel team with his son as the driver, he felt it was fitting to continue the Cheetah
legacy. For more information check out: http://aafd-inc.com/member-Rodeck-Cox.shtml
